Job Summary

Lead nonferrous (NF) recycling receiving and processing operations while ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations. Direct equipment and personnel to meet daily processing goals, maintain workflow layout plans, and drive process improvements to enhance refining quality, profitability, and safety. Manage inventory reporting and monthly audits, partner with commercial teams on buying and yard capacity, and oversee staffing, interviews, and performance reviews in coordination with HR.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, including safe work practices, OSHA/regulatory alignment, SOP development, and safety training.
•Coordinate daily NF receiving/processing operations by directing and scheduling equipment and personnel, including loading and processing of nonferrous scrap.
•Create and maintain NF processing and shipping layout plans to ensure workflow, and identify work-in-progress and finished goods locations.
•Submit/implement approved process improvement suggestions to improve refining quality, profitability, and safety.
•Oversee inventory reporting, monthly physical inventory audits, budgeting/forecasting partnerships, and administrative management including staffing, performance reviews, and interviews.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of metal recycling industry experience.
•Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
•Thorough knowledge of NF (nonferrous) materials grading and strong judgment.
•Good interpersonal communication, self-starter attitude, and strong organizational skills.
•Past supervisory experience is a plus; ability to negotiate and review/update job descriptions with HR.
