Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver FEED, planning design, feasibility studies, and design assurance for energy storage systems and associated grid connections.
  • •Design BESS balance of plant (BOP) systems and develop grid connection solutions across 11kV–400kV for energy storage and renewables.
  • •Work on large projects and frameworks with renewable energy generation developers, mostly in the UK and Ireland.
  • •Support bidding, project management, and quality management activities.
  • •Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to deliver innovative solutions for renewable and energy storage projects.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Suitable experience working in a FEED designer, detailed design, or owner’s engineer role.
  • •Experience designing HV grid connections, metering, and control requirements for battery storage installations, including collocated BESS.
  • •Knowledge of grid connection requirements for renewable generation and energy storage, including G99, G100 and grid code requirements for transmission-connected assets.
  • •Experience with electrical plant items and control systems (e.g., transformers, cables, circuit breakers, HV protection and control).
