Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in integrated product teams to develop embedded, real-time control and monitoring systems for military gas turbine engine applications.
  • •Collaborate with control system, engine system, and aircraft design engineers as part of multidisciplinary IPTs.
  • •Develop and conduct Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA) with airframe customers.
  • •Perform safety and reliability analyses and reporting, including FMECA, FTA, Common Mode Analysis, and Single Event Effect analysis.
  • •Lead Preliminary and final System Safety Assessments (PSSA/SSA) and coordinate safety-related activities to support deliverables and mitigation requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
  • •8 years of engineering experience or 5 years with an advanced degree.
  • •Proficient in requirements management using DOORS and system safety analysis, plus MBSE for control system architecture and software development (preferred).
  • •Experience with airworthiness and system safety standards including ARP4754, ARP4764, MIL-STD-882E, and MIL-HDBK-516C (preferred).
  • •Proficient in performing detailed safety analysis for engine control systems and/or aircraft control systems, including reviewing requirement verification criteria and test plans (preferred).
