Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide strategic leadership of teaching and learning across all phases to secure strong classroom practice.
  • •Lead the strategic development and quality assurance of an ambitious, coherent English National Curriculum from Pre-KG to Grade 12.
  • •Ensure literacy, language and multilingual learner needs are met through a whole-school literacy curriculum and language-rich teaching.
  • •Design and lead a rigorous quality assurance cycle aligned to MoE inspection standards and GEMS expectations using lesson visits, work scrutiny, curriculum reviews, student voice and performance information.
  • •Contribute to whole-school policy-making and improvement as part of the Senior Leadership Team, communicating with staff, students, and parents and following GEMS policies and codes of conduct.

Key Requirements

  • •A college degree and a recognised teacher training qualification.
  • •A Master’s, NPQ, or equivalent leadership qualification (desirable).
  • •Minimum 5 years teaching experience in reputed schools.
  • •Successful experience leading teaching, learning and/or curriculum improvement with demonstrable impact.
  • •Experience of curriculum leadership and quality assurance across a school or phase, including in multilingual settings and/or UAE MoE/inspection contexts (desirable).
