Key Responsibilities

  • •Respond to interpreting sessions promptly and conduct interpretation in a friendly and professional manner.
  • •Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.
  • •Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and enunciation.
  • •Maintain a professional demeanor throughout interpreting sessions at all times.
  • •Remain calm on calls, including emergency situations such as 911 calls.

Key Requirements

  • •Fluency in Cebuano and English, with strong cultural competency and understanding of regional differences.
  • •Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills to maintain high accuracy during interpretation.
  • •Ability to remain neutral, professional, and calm on calls, including emotionally charged conversations.
  • •High school diploma or equivalent; legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • •Experience or education in language-related fields such as teaching, language assessment, translation, or interpretation preferred.
