Job Summary

Support the Class Teacher by working with individual children and small groups to help them access the curriculum and achieve set learning targets. Assist with recording and presenting evidence of learning, contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and provide verbal and written feedback to support assessments. Help maintain children’s well-being, support minor administrative tasks during non-contact time, and supervise children during breaks and school trips when required.

•Work with individual or small groups of children as directed by the Class Teacher and subject teachers.
•Work with groups in the classroom to help children access the curriculum.
•Be proactive with learning support and adjust strategy or approach with the class teacher as needed.
•Support recording and presenting evidence of learning and make notes in Individual Education Plan (IEP) books as required.
•Supervise children during breaks and accompany children on school trips where appropriate, following school policy and trip documentation requirements.

Key Requirements

•Minimum High School education in English and Maths (degree preferred).
•Experience or aptitude for working with students; previous teaching or teaching assistant experience preferred.
•Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
