Job Summary

Operate and support vacuum atomization furnace activities, including setup, cleaning, monitoring, securing, and removal/replacement of furnace components. Assist with hoist/rigging operations, powered industrial vehicle use, and connection of gas, electric, and water lines. Under team-lead supervision, perform disassembly/reassembly during alloy changes and support atomization operations. Follow CORE and EH&S initiatives and wear required PPE, escalating issues to supervisors as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform cleaning, monitoring, and securing operations to assist in set-up of a vacuum atomization furnace.
•Operate powered industrial vehicles (PIVs) and perform basic hoist and rigging operations.
•Assist with removal and replacement of furnace lid and coils; clean the furnace chamber and “O” ring seal.
•Under team lead supervision, disassemble and reassemble the atomization chamber during alloy changes.
•Support continuous improvement and CORE/EH&S initiatives, including wearing required PPE and referring issues to supervisors.
