Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the development and review of complex electrical designs and engineering solutions across all project phases.
  • •Manage schedules, estimates, progress reports, meetings, and procurement for electrical engineering scope.
  • •Develop and check electrical engineering deliverables (e.g., single line diagrams, network diagrams, load lists, fault level calculations, protection schemes, cable routing and sizing, lighting calculations, and earthing designs).
  • •Provide technical input to power system studies and electrical equipment specifications, including LV/MV switchgear, MCCs, transformers, VSDs, UPS, power factor correction, filters, cabling, lighting, and BMS/communication interfaces.
  • •Lead a project team (including senior engineers and BIM modellers), mentor engineers, support client workshops/meetings, and coordinate vendor inspections/factory acceptance testing and field/commissioning support.

Key Requirements

  • •BSc Electrical Engineering degree.
  • •More than 12 years electrical project engineering experience, including heavy industrial environments and industrial/commercial building infrastructure.
  • •Experience working with Data Centre environments; advantageous.
  • •Registered as a Full Professional with ECSA.
  • •Strong knowledge of LV and MV electrical engineering (up to 132kV) and relevant local standards and codes (including OHS Act, SANS and IEC).
