Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and engineering of hydromechanical systems for hydropower and pumped storage projects.
  • •Prepare and review designs for intake gates, spillway gates, emergency/maintenance gates, stoplogs/bulkheads, trash racks/cleaning systems, penstocks and associated components.
  • •Perform hydraulic and structural design calculations and review design criteria, specifications, drawings, calculations, and tender documents.
  • •Ensure compliance with international standards and codes (e.g., ICOLD, ASCE, AISC, Eurocodes, IS Codes, IEC).
  • •Provide technical support across feasibility, DPR/detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication/installation, commissioning, and performance evaluation; review vendor documentation and conduct factory/site inspections and audits.

  • •Master's degree in Hydraulic Structures, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • •20+ years of experience in planning, design, engineering, and execution of hydromechanical systems for hydropower and pumped storage projects.
