Lead the planning, design, review, and engineering of hydromechanical systems for hydropower and pumped storage projects, including gates, stoplogs, trash racks, penstocks, embedded parts, and hoisting equipment. Perform hydraulic and structural calculations, review drawings and tender documents, ensure compliance with international standards, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and support feasibility through commissioning with design reviews, vendor/factory checks, and site technical support.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the design and engineering of hydromechanical systems for hydropower and pumped storage projects.
•Prepare and review designs for intake gates, spillway gates, emergency/maintenance gates, stoplogs/bulkheads, trash racks/cleaning systems, penstocks and associated components.
•Perform hydraulic and structural design calculations and review design criteria, specifications, drawings, calculations, and tender documents.
•Ensure compliance with international standards and codes (e.g., ICOLD, ASCE, AISC, Eurocodes, IS Codes, IEC).
•Provide technical support across feasibility, DPR/detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication/installation, commissioning, and performance evaluation; review vendor documentation and conduct factory/site inspections and audits.

•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•Master's degree in Hydraulic Structures, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
•20+ years of experience in planning, design, engineering, and execution of hydromechanical systems for hydropower and pumped storage projects.
•Expertise in design/review of hydromechanical components such as intake gates, spillway gates, stoplogs, trash racks, penstocks, embedded parts, and hoisting equipment.
