Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete hands-on training and perform duties across the distribution center, covering Operations, Management, and Purchasing.
  • •Observe experienced employees to learn methods, procedures, and performance standards used in successful distribution operations.
  • •Shadow contractors/builders, service/maintenance, and retail store customers to understand the swimming pool, irrigation, and landscaping business.
  • •Participate in classroom training covering operations, financials, leadership, human capital management, and operating systems at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas.
  • •Give a comprehensive presentation to senior-level management to complete the 6-month Operations MIT program; complete other assigned duties/projects.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations, or a related discipline with a minimum of a 2.5 GPA.
  • •Work experience in a leadership and/or problem-solving role, or in lieu of experience, involvement in distribution/supply chain internships, organizations/clubs, volunteer work, athletics, or military leadership.
  • •Ability and desire to work in a distribution warehouse environment.
  • •Strong leadership skills with results-driven, self-starter mindset and the ability to lead/develop a team amid rapidly changing priorities.
  • •Willingness and ability to relocate during and after the program, and ability to travel 25% of the time.
