Key Responsibilities

  • •Clinical Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; maintain accurate documentation; ensure patient safety; communicate effectively with patients and teams.
  • •Leadership: Act as a role model; mentor and supervise junior staff; promote teamwork and learning.
  • •Quality & Risk: Participate in quality improvement; comply with infection control and safety standards; report incidents and risks.
  • •Education: Provide patient and family education; support health promotion.
  • •Professional Practice: Maintain licensure, competencies, and professional portfolio; engage in continuous learning and research.
  • •General Duties: Ensure confidentiality, customer service, and compliance with Health & Safety and emergency preparedness.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor degree in Midwifery or equivalent qualification with minimum of three (3) years course duration in Midwifery
  • •BSc in Nursing, or equivalent with minimum three (3) years course duration and Midwifery Certificate with minimum one (1) year course duration
  • •Associate degree in Nursing from Canada or USA with minimum two (2) years course duration, and Successful completion of the National exam and Midwifery Certificate with minimum one (1) year course duration .
