Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the end-to-end manufacturing process for recertification, repair, and refurbishment/overhaul of returned AUVs and major subassemblies.
  • •Lead intake and disposition of field returns, including triage, driving failure analysis with Quality and Design, and partnering with MRB for traceable disposition of non-conforming hardware.
  • •Develop repair-specific routings, work instructions, tooling, and inspection criteria distinct from new-build flows.
  • •Define and own the recertification test flow that gates a repaired or overhauled vehicle’s return to service in partnership with Test Engineering and Quality.
  • •Apply Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma to reduce turnaround time, scrap, and rework; close the loop from field failures into prioritized design changes, ECRs, and process improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
  • •5+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
  • •Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Demonstrated technical leadership skills with expertise in manufacturing.
  • •Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.) and ability to mentor/support junior engineers and technicians.
