Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, implement, improve, and govern capable manufacturing, assembly, and installation methods for Naval Ships including verification methods.
  • •Significantly influence, collaborate, and coordinate manufacturing engineering activities across shipbuilding and customer/partner facilities.
  • •Lead, develop, and motivate assigned team members through good, open, and honest communications.
  • •Create, define, and approve facilities, equipment, tooling, and processes (including manufacturing instructions and policies) and confirm/approve team member work where appropriate.
  • •Observe, collate, document, and analyze data to trend performance, make recommendations, and create/track facility investment improvement cases from concept to commissioning.

  • •Previous experience in Manufacturing/Process/Method Planning, NC Programming, Tool Definition, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Systems implementation, or Facility Investment activities.
  • •Ability to understand and interpret requirements, specifications, and engineering models/outputs.
  • •Use recognized techniques to analyze problems into root causes rather than symptoms.
