Key Responsibilities

  • •Read and interpret manufacturing and installation plans, trace templates, cut, shape, assemble, and adjust metal parts used in aircraft structures.
  • •Perform assembly, adjustment, repair, modification, and installation of mechanical, electromechanical, and hydraulic components and conduct complex adjustments.
  • •Consult and interpret aircraft assembly diagrams and fabricate simple aircraft structure parts.
  • •Mount and adjust sub-assemblies and structural assemblies for aircraft cells and systems, and install pre-fabricated elements such as coverings, flight control parts, and hydraulic systems.
  • •Operate manual or automated machines and tools, measure and verify installations against technical specifications, and ensure conformity using control methods.

Key Requirements

  • •DEP in structure assembly or installation of systems, or at least 5 years’ experience as an aircraft assembly fitter in aeronautics (or a related assembly field) and pass a basic skills evaluation.
  • •Strong technical knowledge in assembly of structures and installation of systems.
  • •Ability to master aircraft technical language and read technical plans.
  • •Knowledge of FOD (foreign object debris) management.
  • •Manual dexterity, good visual acuity, precision, concentration, and attention to detail.
