Job Summary

Lead key components of the Continuous Delivery and GitOps foundation, architecting, scaling, and securing the cloud platform behind Harness’ CD and related products. Coordinate across engineering teams to drive well-informed decisions, prevent redundant work by hardening shared assets, and solve the hardest technical problems. Serve as an SME for the domain, mentor others, plan resources for large initiatives, and interface with senior leadership and customers on deliverables and execution.

Key Responsibilities

•Coordinate and propose collaborative efforts across multiple engineering teams, guiding decisions aligned to sub-department strategy.
•Seek to prevent redundant work by leveraging existing assets and improving their reusability.
•Mentor others and champion a culture of improvement across the organization.
•Participate in resource planning, project mapping, and success criteria for large engineering initiatives.
•Solve the most difficult technical problems; interface with senior engineering leadership and represent the work to external stakeholders.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science.
•12+ years of work experience.
•Experience building microservices using Java, Golang, and gRPC in a modern development environment.
•Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka/Kafka Streams.
•Extensive low-level API design experience, plus experience mentoring and managing a team.
