  • •Provide proactive, strategic process and people leadership for engineering discipline project and program involvement.
  • •Lead complex, large-scale water resources engineering projects, overseeing budgets, performance, hours/expenses, and subcontractors/contract work.
  • •Drive business strategy, growth, and pipeline development for Water Resources Engineering work in Chicago and the Midwest, including proposals, scopes, pricing, and performance metrics.
  • •Lead technical aspects of contract negotiation, presentations, and meetings; represent the discipline with external agencies, clients, subcontractors, and community entities.
  • •Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local environmental laws and lead discipline meetings and continuing education for staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering focused on Water Resources (or closely related).
  • •15+ years of relevant post-education experience in water resources engineering.
  • •Engineer license in Illinois required (multi-state preferred).
  • •Expertise in transportation drainage and water resources engineering, including hydrology/hydraulics, storm sewer and culvert design, detention/stormwater management, roadway drainage, floodplain evaluations, and environmental permitting.
  • •Advanced proficiency with HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS/ICPR/XPSWMM/HY-8 hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software.
