Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair complex equipment issues across electrical, brake, cooling, steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions; use test instruments to support diagnostics.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck and perform periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair order documentation, including uploading photos of work performed, parts used, and findings via the TRAIT application.
  • •Maintain company service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or alternative combinations such as 5 years’ experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply required hand tools for the role.
  • •Must be able to successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Have required certifications or obtain within 18 months (ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609).
