Key Responsibilities

  • •Define the long-term technical vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap for IBM Z and IBM i platforms.
  • •Govern end-to-end platform lifecycle from design and implementation through operations, maintenance, and modernization.
  • •Architect highly available and resilient solutions using Parallel Sysplex, Geographically Dispersed Parallel Sysplex, PowerHA, and Db2 Mirror.
  • •Establish disaster recovery strategies and lead root-cause analysis for major incidents to prevent recurrence.
  • •Implement OpenTelemetry and drive end-to-end observability across mainframe, middleware, and distributed cloud services.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep expertise in IBM Z engineering, including z/OS, Parallel Sysplex, Geographically Dispersed Parallel Sysplex, workload management, and systems performance/capacity analysis.
  • •Proven experience designing and governing high availability and disaster recovery solutions for critical workloads.
  • •Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, context propagation, and enterprise observability.
  • •Hands-on expertise with IBM mainframe middleware and data technologies such as CICS, DB2, MQ, and z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition.
  • •Practical experience with automation and CI/CD tools including Ansible, Terraform, GitHub, and Jenkins.
