Job Summary

Lead the safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operation of an alternative fuels plant in Medgidia. Oversee 24/7 waste reception and processing activities (storage, sorting, blending, shredding, drying) to deliver high-quality alternative fuels to an adjacent cement plant. Drive HSE compliance, operational performance, continuous improvement, preventive/corrective maintenance, product quality, team development, supplier and regulatory stakeholder relationships, and KPI monitoring, reporting, and audits.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead all site operations, including waste reception, storage, sorting, blending, shredding, drying, and alternative fuel production.
•Ensure full HSE compliance and foster a strong health, safety, and environmental culture.
•Drive operational performance through process optimization, continuous improvement, and asset reliability via preventive/corrective maintenance.
•Maintain product quality standards so alternative fuels meet agreed specifications.
•Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team; manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, transport providers, regulatory authorities, and plant stakeholders, and monitor KPIs, budgeting, reporting, audits, inspections, and governance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
•5-10 years of experience in industrial operations within manufacturing, energy, waste management, cement, mining, aggregates, or similar sectors.
•Minimum 3 years of people management experience leading teams of 10+ employees.
•Experience managing operations in a production or processing environment, ideally continuous or 24/7.
•Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems and regulatory compliance.
