Job Summary

Calibration Service Technician responsible for initial and periodic testing, calibration, and certification of electronic and electromechanical test equipment in a manufacturing/standards lab. Works a 4th shift weekend schedule, conducts diagnostics and repairs, and supports DoD-grade security clearance requirements. Key Responsibilities

•Initial and periodic testing, calibration and certification of electronic and electromechanical test equipment – under manufacturing and standards lab conditions – prior to quality acceptance for usage in testing other instruments, components, units and systems.
•Performs diagnosis, repair, and modification in the servicing of all types of RMD and commercial electronic and electromechanical test equipment, including the electronic functional and operation test thereof.
•Must be able to work any designated shift to include overnight.
•Work a weekend shift on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch).
•Must have worked from test position calibration manuals, design drawings, sketches, handbooks, and engineering specifications; must use NIST specifications.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 34.38 hourly

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED).
•Three (3) years experience in the operation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of electronic, electromechanical, standard and precision measuring equipment in a manufacturing and/or standards laboratory environment; or, equivalent technical training in the repair and calibration of precision measuring equipment, and the science of measurements (metrology).
•Must have worked from test position calibration manuals, design drawings, sketches, handbooks, and engineering specifications.
•Must have used the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) specifications in the performance of job duties.
•Must pass qualifying and/or practical test.
•The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. secret clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
•The ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
