Lead global legal counsel for TikTok’s Global Payments organization, partnering with product, engineering, compliance, marketing, and business teams on payments and financial services matters. Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the lead legal business partner and counsel for the Global Payments organization, leading a team of legal professionals globally.
•Advise on payments, lending, financial services, regulatory compliance, consumer protection, marketing, intellectual property, risk assessment/compliance, and data privacy worldwide.
•Structure, draft, and negotiate channel partner agreements with payment partners.
•Collaborate with internal stakeholders across product, engineering, compliance, marketing, and business development on global payment product development and commercialization.
•Stay current on financial service regulations (e.g., money transmission, virtual currency, gifts, stored value cards, KYC/KYB) and support launches and legal review processes for new payment features and products.

Key Requirements

•Qualified lawyer with in-house experience supporting global payment companies, ideally in FinTech or a large technology platform.
•Familiar with the payments and financial services sector to counsel licensing and compliance requirements.
•Experience working across regulatory regimes in Europe, Asia, and LATAM.
•Strong judgment and decision-making with imperfect information in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
