Job Summary

Lead strategic growth and operational excellence for group benefits by evaluating opportunities, driving planning and renewal performance, and supporting key client accounts. Serve as a subject matter expert and primary consultant for complex client relationships, while presenting renewal and RFP materials. Supervise and coach a team across the Southwestern Ontario (Kitchener) area, oversee multi-year renewal and marketing plans, and support business development to achieve service and sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze and interpret the group benefits division strategy to develop initiatives aligned with long-term growth, including renewal reports, RFPs, and sales presentations.
•Act as subject matter expert and provide leadership and guidance to ensure team deliverables are accurate, complete, and meet NFP standards.
•Serve as primary consultant for key client relationships, providing client-specific strategies to support plan design and ongoing reporting.
•Support new business development through personal network and referrals; support business development opportunities for the team.
•Supervise and coach consultants: manage workload/capacity, interview/hire/train, appraise performance, and oversee multi-year renewal and marketing plans.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 140,000 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Valid LLQP required upon starting this role.
•15+ years of experience in the group insurance industry, specifically employee benefits, including sales & service and management.
•Demonstrated ability to take ownership, negotiate, and follow through on problems to resolution, including achieving sales targets.
•Strong time management, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills with excellent client relations.
•Ability to operate as both a strategic and tactical thinker and effectively interface with clients, senior management, and staff.
