Lead a Pricing team of 4–7 data scientists to develop and continuously improve pricing strategies that accurately value vehicles and respond to changing market demand and wholesale auction conditions. Build AI/ML pricing models and the software that calculates optimal vehicle value and delivers it to field associates in seconds. Drive cross-functional model implementations, run experiments to measure business impact, and maintain a management system to ensure daily value delivery.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop optimal pricing strategies aligned to short- and long-term business objectives.
•Build and manage a team of 4–7 data scientists, setting goals and developing/recognizing team members.
•Lead development of AI to autonomously price every vehicle using sophisticated ML models.
•Build software and lead cross-functional efforts with IT and the field to implement new models.
•Develop and execute a management system to ensure correct daily vehicle valuation and promptly resolve pricing system issues.

Key Requirements

•Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Math, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering); Master’s/Ph.D. is a plus.
•Build complex pricing models using strong mathematical, modeling, and reasoning skills.
•4+ years of experience in strategy, analytics and/or data science.
•Proven ability to deliver business value by leveraging deep analytic skills to solve complex business problems.
•Leadership skills to build a highly engaged team and work cross-functionally to implement pricing strategies.
