Job Summary

Operate a variety of construction equipment safely and efficiently, including loaders, backhoes, trackhoes, haul trucks, and water trucks. Ensure safe slopes on excavations, proper barricading, and identify utilities and buried lines before digging. Perform minor servicing and maintenance, manage time and material records, and apply knowledge of trenching, shoring, aggregates, and load weight requirements. Travel between sites as needed and may assist laborers with pipe, utility, and road construction tasks.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate construction equipment safely and efficiently, including loaders, backhoes/trackhoes, haul trucks, and water trucks.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required, with 1-2 years related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination).

•Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions.
•Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards and related safe excavation practices.
