Key Responsibilities

  • •Set up selection equipment per instructions and prepare for the poultry selection process.
  • •Select birds by isolating and catching up to 200 birds as needed, identifying gender, verifying line details, scanning for data entry, weighing, monitoring groups, and placing birds into designated locations by instructions.
  • •Euthanize off-condition birds using cervical dislocation method based on animal welfare guidelines.
  • •Move and maintain equipment between areas, clean and sanitize for biosecurity, and assist with tasks such as operating water hose, checking equipment fluids/filters/tire pressure, and keeping foot pans/sanitizer stocked.
  • •Follow biosecurity/animal welfare procedures and all safety policies, including PPE and safety procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (18 months if laid off or providing child/elder care).
