Key Responsibilities

  • •Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment.
  • •Use technology (laptops and tablets) to create, assign, and monitor work orders and track machine service intervals.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors (including travel when required).
  • •Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and customer locations, handle repairs, and set up and operate equipment with other technicians as needed.
  • •Maintain complete and timely paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed and assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.

Key Requirements

  • •Must own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
  • •Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • •Experience calculating nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and reading/understanding schematics.
  • •Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • •EPA 608 certification preferred; ability to obtain within 6–12 months if not already certified.
