Key Responsibilities

  • •Support plant health, safety, and environmental initiatives through safety audits, SOP implementation, and documentation maintenance.
  • •Monitor safety guidelines and ensure compliance with CHEP policies, GAP requirements, and applicable provincial and federal regulations.
  • •Lead incident investigations (injury/illness/near-miss), including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and Learning Loop reviews.
  • •Manage workers’ compensation claims, modified work programs, and return-to-work processes.
  • •Lead the Joint Health & Safety Committee, site inspections, risk assessments, and safety orientations/training, and track corrective actions while driving continuous improvement programs.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 52,000 - 71,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Post-secondary degree in Safety.
  • •1-3 years of environmental, health, and/or safety experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • •Working knowledge of safety and environmental management and claims management experience.
  • •Working knowledge of provincial occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • •Proficient with incident investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments, and developing Safe Work Practices (Standard Work).
