Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide high-level technical assistance and guidance for due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, design, development, and construction support for utility-scale substations.
  • •Collect, compile, and analyze substation site and P&C component data to support procurement package development, pricing, and IFR/IFC detailed design and review processes.
  • •Review electrical calculations for loads, equipment sizing, one-line diagram development, and protective relaying.
  • •Develop and review specifications, cost estimates, construction phasing plans, and protection scheme updates in coordination with owners, disciplines, and clients.
  • •Oversee and monitor P&C team delivery on cross-discipline projects, including technical calculations, construction support, compliance documentation, and regulatory/technical analysis.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • •7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for capital projects in power generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • •Proficiency in substation P&C engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and project work for 12 kV to 345 kV substations.
  • •Extensive knowledge of substation P&C design and experience across rehabilitation and new design projects.
  • •Strong technical writing, calculations, compliance with electrical engineering laws/codes/standards, and the ability to plan and conduct inspections and investigations.
