Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing medication management for patients with eating disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions.
  • •Implement and adjust medication treatment plans within a virtual telehealth clinic.
  • •Assess eating-disorder-related medical risk within psychiatric scope, including safety, psychiatric symptoms, medication decisions, and level of care needs.
  • •Consult with outside psychiatric providers and communicate with the multidisciplinary team through between-session messaging and Equip’s EMR.
  • •Collaborate with the treatment team in meetings, supervision, learning opportunities, and department meetings.

Key Requirements

  • •Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
  • •Maintain an active license to practice in the state(s) where patients reside, or be willing to obtain additional licenses in other states (paid for by Equip).
  • •Provide excellent, evidence-based psychiatric care and advance clinical skills.
  • •Communicate effectively with patients and patient carers and respond to messages in a timely manner.
  • •Comfort and experience treating eating disorders and related conditions including mood/anxiety disorders, trauma, suicidal ideation, substance use, and ADHD.
