Key Responsibilities

  • •Own curtailment orchestration and the decision layer, including grid-signal ingestion, staged shedding, and per-SKU power capping without silently dropping workloads.
  • •Deliver utility-validated pilots by building test harnesses and ensuring fast ramp-to-setpoint, tight accuracy, and high-fidelity telemetry.
  • •Design and ship dynamic power management for oversubscription and build workload-aware GPU power estimation validated against fleet telemetry.
  • •Implement safety-first design for authenticated signal ingress, bounded blast radius, fail-safe defaults, and manual backstops, including graceful ride-through of power-loss and grid stress.
  • •Hire and lead the team from scratch and integrate with the cloud control plane across Kubernetes and Slurm fleets while partnering with Data Center Engineering and Energy teams.

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years leading engineering teams and taking systems from 0→1 to production scale.
  • •Experience with distributed control planes, orchestration, or fleet automation such as Temporal, Kubernetes, or Slurm.
