Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead MEP commission or MEP cost management within larger projects, including feasibility support and procurement reports.
  • •Produce estimates and cost plans and present final cost plans to internal and external stakeholders.
  • •Manage tendering and procurement activities, including pre-qualification for single-stage and two-stage routes.
  • •Manage post-contract cost variations and change control, including cost checks, valuations, and monthly post-contract reporting.
  • •Contribute to value engineering and cost optimisation, negotiate final accounts, and oversee Assistant Cost Managers/Cost Managers as part of the MEP team.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven track record delivering high-quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle.
  • •Professionally qualified (RICS or similar) or working towards professional qualification.
  • •Degree or HNC level qualification.
  • •Ability to successfully manage and prioritise more than one project at a time.
  • •Experience delivering MEP elements of work and knowledge/contacts within the MEP supply chain (tier 1 and below).
