Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide front-line support to landowners via phone, email, and mail, explaining rent/royalty statements and calculations in plain language.
  • •Administer the landowner web portal to address inquiries timely and accurately and provide forms and guidance.
  • •Research and resolve payment issues (e.g., variances, missing/stale checks, address/banking changes, tax withholding) by coordinating with Settlements and Accounting.
  • •Manage change of ownership requests end-to-end by validating documentation and updating payee records and ownership interests accurately.
  • •Read and interpret leases/easements and draft professional correspondence with Legal to resolve inquiries, cure title defects, and support compliance and recordkeeping.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, energy management, paralegal studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • •2+ years of land administration/lease administration experience, including title, right of way, minerals, or real estate operations.
  • •Ability to read and interpret leases/easements and related agreements, with working knowledge of real estate law concepts (e.g., title chains, deeds, legal descriptions).
  • •Understanding of rent/royalty calculations, owner decimal interests/division orders (where applicable), and basic accounting concepts.
  • •Proficiency with land management databases and document control, including strong Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables) and Word skills, with accurate data entry.
