Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver NPI technical training both in-house and at customer locations, including live distance learning and instructor-led hands-on delivery.
  • •Manage classroom and lab activities to meet course objectives and adhere to safety procedures; train and certify instructors as tools transition to volume production.
  • •Learn and maintain technical knowledge of new and improved products; develop course materials, student guides, and supporting documentation for new tools and chambers.
  • •Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting for system repairs so systems can support course objectives, including ensuring safety retrofits are installed.
  • •Follow and engage in the Product Development Process (PDP) for NPI products through Phase Gate 3 or earlier; lead small projects, coach other instructors, and oversee course design approval.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor degree in engineering, education, or training, or equivalent military experience, plus 4 years of professional semiconductor equipment experience in installation, programming, safety, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • •If no bachelor’s degree, 6 years of professional semiconductor equipment experience in installation, programming, safety, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • •2 years of formal or informal experience in education, performance-based training, or training/presentation delivery to external customers (desirable).
  • •Preferred certification in Instructional Design (or 2 years of formal/informal experience in curriculum development and/or instructional design).
  • •Experience with Applied Materials semiconductor equipment, including Applied DDP equipment (highly desired).
