Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment across electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines (gas/diesel), and transmissions.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment; use test instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Document repairs and DOT forms accurately using repair orders (RO), including uploading photos of work performed and parts used.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or alternate combination such as degree/certification beyond HS/GED or 5 years’ related experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Have a current and valid DOT medical card (or be able to pass a DOT physical prior to employment).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license; be able to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File.
