Key Responsibilities

  • •Make and document well-reasoned consequential decisions in turbomachinery design
  • •Collaborate with development engineers to assist in conception, refinement, and validation of designs
  • •Carry out and review various turbopump architectural trades
  • •Perform rotor dynamics analyses to inform cryogenic pump component specifications
  • •Supervise external subcontractors and communicate with suppliers

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or Bachelor’s with substantial relevant experience)
  • •3-5 years of proven experience with fast rotating machinery
  • •Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics and mechanical design
  • •Strong fundamentals of machine dynamics, in particular rotordynamics
  • •Proficient in 3D CAD software and drafting, with Python scripting experience
