Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as Design Lead for elements of projects and coordinate day-to-day design development with clients and the design team under guidance from a Technical Lead
  • •Mentor and manage junior engineers in the design of infrastructure elements
  • •Contribute to the development of tunnelling and underground works through input to concept through operation phases
  • •Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integrity and project delivery
  • •Support risk management and technical assurance activities across projects

Key Requirements

  • •Degree level in Civil or Civil & Structural Engineering, and/ or MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics/Geotechnical/Tunnelling Engineering, with/working towards a professional membership
  • •Broad experience as a designer in Reinforced Concrete to Eurocodes for underground structures (secant piles, capping beams, segmental shaft linings, in situ concrete elements, D-Walls, shafts and tunnels)
  • •Solid familiarity with Geotechnical Engineering principles as they relate to soil-structure interaction
  • •Ability to lead and manage more junior engineers in design of infrastructure elements
  • •Wamiliarity with liaising directly with clients and the wider design team and delivering design development
