Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform FEA on valve components and assemblies to generate design and development recommendations, including guidance to reduce weight while maintaining performance.
  • •Lead problem identification in design phases and provide simulation-based solutions for engineering challenges.
  • •Define and implement simulation strategies (design exploration, DoE, sensitivity studies, optimization, regression-based analyses) and conduct linear/nonlinear structural, transient, thermal, fatigue, and contact/sealing simulations.
  • •Evaluate valve performance under high pressure, temperature, and corrosive environments, including FSI or CFD–FEA coupling, and perform wear analysis.
  • •Support product development from concept to validation: ensure compliance with industry standards, correlate simulation with experimental data, conduct RCA for failures, and maintain simulation validation methodologies.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of related FEA experience, including at least 3 years in industrial valves.
  • •Proven use of FEA tools such as Ansys and Abaqus, plus the ability to develop scripts/automation for efficiency.
  • •Knowledge of international pressure equipment standards (ASME, API, EN, ISO/PED, and BS valve standards).
  • •Strong CAD experience (Inventor, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks) and design for manufacturability, including machining processes (casting design is an advantage).
  • •Solid mechanics and material behavior expertise for nonlinear analysis, fatigue, and fracture mechanics, with strong communication and organization skills.
