•Manage the H&S team and framework to ensure effective implementation of the Zurich UK Health & Safety Management System and related processes.
•Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies while maintaining high standards of health, safety, and wellbeing.
•Provide expert guidance to senior leaders and influence strategic decision-making to drive a proactive safety culture.
•Conduct root cause analysis of reported incidents and operate an annual programme of site audits/tests with timely remedial actions.
•Oversee annual risk assessments and manage resources, training, and communications to mitigate risks across UK operations, collaborating with local business managers.

Key Requirements

•A minimum Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Practice, British Safety Council Level 6 Diploma, or equivalent).
•Comprehensive understanding of H&S legislation, regulation, and demonstrable practical application of risk management.
•Demonstrable people management and leadership experience within an H&S environment, including driving a positive culture.
•Ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders of varying seniority.
