Job Summary

Handle livestock in a safe, calm manner by sorting, loading, and receiving animals according to load sheets and customer/farm specifications. Follow Duplin Animal Care and company EMS policies, including reporting environmental and safety issues. Perform inspections, tagging/tattooing for identification, maintain receiving documentation, keep facilities tidy, and support training for other loading employees while coordinating closely with the Station Manager and team.

Key Responsibilities

•Sort, receive, and load animals safely and efficiently.
•Perform trailer inspections prior to loading and load animals using a herding board, counting animals onto trucks.
•Complete inspections and counts when receiving animals, and place tags/tattoo the shoulder area of sows for identification.
•Sort/grade animals according to Duplin/customer specifications and maintain receiving documentation.
•Maintain housekeeping and comply with environmental, safety, and emergency notification procedures; report issues and assist in training other loading employees as required.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 15.7 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•Be able to work an average 48–50 hour week, which can vary frequently.
•Weekend, evening, and holiday work required as needed.
•Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
•Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team oriented while building positive working relationships.
