Maintain safe, efficient operation of electrical systems for a meat packaging facility by installing, servicing, and repairing electrical fixtures, panels, wiring, and specialized equipment. Follow LOCKOUT/TAGOUT and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), diagnose electrical malfunctions with test equipment, perform electrical testing, and support maintenance, modernization, and required documentation. Work with tools and lift equipment as needed, collaborate with the team and contractors, and help keep plant operations compliant and high-performing.

Key Responsibilities

•Install, service, and repair lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets, and wiring.
•Operate power and hand tools and specialized electrical equipment to construct, maintain, and repair electrical systems.
•Read electrical circuit diagrams, locate malfunctions using test equipment, and repair issues by replacing components and wiring.
•Test electrical equipment (e.g., motors, heaters, and controls) for safety and efficiency, including shielding and grounding inspection.
•Requisition materials and supplies, transfer primary power between sources, and perform modernization and other assigned electrical work.
