Job Summary

Lead the day-to-day and strategic management of the Primary school, working alongside the Principal and Head of Primary. Drive academic standards, curriculum leadership, behavior for learning, safeguarding, and staff performance management. Monitor progress, manage budgets and resources, and collaborate with parents to support additional learning needs. Uphold the school’s ethos and GEMS Core Values while meeting statutory requirements and school improvement goals.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide day-to-day and strategic management of the Primary school alongside the leadership team.
•Lead curriculum planning, monitoring progress, and ensuring high-quality teaching across subjects and phases.
•Support behavior for learning by implementing consistent and fair approaches in line with the school’s behavior policy.
•Manage staff and resources, including performance management, appraisals, and staff professional development.
•Oversee systems for safeguarding, risk mitigation, school improvement, budgeting, and accountability within regulatory frameworks.

Key Requirements

•Fully certified teacher with a B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent.
•Passionate about outstanding teaching and learning.
•Highly experienced in the National Curriculum for England.
•Efficient people development with proven leadership and communication abilities.
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching in a British Curriculum Secondary School and a minimum IELTS 6 (or equivalent) may be required.
