Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee materiel management, warehouse operations, and customer support functions within a theater-level SSA, ensuring accurate accountability and consistent readiness.
  • •Monitor and execute daily SSA operations including receiving, storage, issuing, turn-ins, and COMSEC, and manage stock control processes.
  • •Process, validate, and manage supply transactions within GCSS-Army, including inventory management, cyclic counts, and discrepancy resolution.
  • •Coordinate with supported units, maintenance activities, and higher headquarters to ensure timely materiel support, including retrograde and lateral transfers.
  • •Implement and enforce SSA SOPs, safety and quality assurance procedures, manage shelf-life/controlled items, ensure HAZMAT documentation compliance, and maintain audit readiness.

Key Requirements

  • •BS degree and 5 years of experience (or experience in lieu of degree); HS Diploma (+9) or equivalent with advanced supply/logistics training preferred.
  • •5+ years of Army supply experience or equivalent military logistics background.
  • •Strong working knowledge of SSA operations, stock control, and warehouse management, including inventory, cyclic counts, causative research, and discrepancy reconciliation.
  • •Proficiency in GCSS-Army (warehouse and stock control functions).
  • •Experience supervising Soldiers, DA civilians, or contractor personnel; active U.S. Secret clearance preferred and willingness to deploy to Southwest Asia.
