Key Responsibilities

•Weld metal components to fabricate or repair products (machine parts, vehicles and equipment, motors and generators) per work orders.
•Perform welding and related tasks including gas welding/brazing, arc welding processes, thermal cutting and grinding, and repairing cracks or broken parts.
•Inspect and repair cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads using inspection equipment and a gas torch; complete repairs per certification/testing standards.
•Use accepted trade methods and manual welding processes to weld metals of different sizes, shapes, thicknesses, including dissimilar metals.
•Fabricate and repair aluminum, steel, and armor plate materials using shielded arc, MIG, TIG, and silver brazing/oxygen/acetylene plasma arc methods, in various welding positions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 39.04 hourly

Key Requirements

•Must be qualified and certified to American Welding Society (AWS) Standard certifications for AWS D1.1 Structural welder (120 days to obtain if not already completed).
•Must be a US Citizen with ability to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug test.
•Must be capable of welding dissimilar metals (e.g., copper to steel).
•Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and diagrams.
•Must be able to perform physical work (standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing) while using required protective equipment.
