Key Responsibilities

  • •Weld metal components to fabricate or repair products (machine parts, vehicles and equipment, motors and generators) per work orders.
  • •Perform welding and related tasks including gas welding/brazing, arc welding processes, thermal cutting and grinding, and repairing cracks or broken parts.
  • •Inspect and repair cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads using inspection equipment and a gas torch; complete repairs per certification/testing standards.
  • •Use accepted trade methods and manual welding processes to weld metals of different sizes, shapes, thicknesses, including dissimilar metals.
  • •Fabricate and repair aluminum, steel, and armor plate materials using shielded arc, MIG, TIG, and silver brazing/oxygen/acetylene plasma arc methods, in various welding positions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 39.04 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Must be qualified and certified to American Welding Society (AWS) Standard certifications for AWS D1.1 Structural welder (120 days to obtain if not already completed).
  • •Must be a US Citizen with ability to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • •Must be capable of welding dissimilar metals (e.g., copper to steel).
  • •Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and diagrams.
  • •Must be able to perform physical work (standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing) while using required protective equipment.
