Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform inspections and diagnostics on GSE and MHE during turn-in processing, including preventive and corrective maintenance per Army standards.
  • •Repair and maintain generators, heaters, lighting units, power distribution equipment, hydraulic test stands, tow bars, jacks, and lifting devices.
  • •Troubleshoot faults using Army-approved diagnostic tools, replace worn/damaged components, and tag unserviceable equipment for disposition.
  • •Record maintenance and inspection results using DA Form 2404/5988-E and update condition codes (A–H) and maintenance records in GCSS-Army in compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
  • •Coordinate with Supply Technicians and Material Coordinators during turn-in, provide technical advice, and support preparation of equipment for shipment, storage, or redistribution.

Key Requirements

  • •3–5 years of hands-on experience maintaining GSE or MHE in an Army or contractor environment.
  • •Familiarity with Army maintenance standards, technical manuals (TMs), and property accountability requirements.
  • •Ability to perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) and diagnose/repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • •Proficiency reading TMs, schematics, and maintenance work orders, with strong attention to detail and recordkeeping.
  • •Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Tier1/NACI (Public trust) eligibility; must receive favorable background check and drug testing results.
