Job Summary

Deliver hands-on occupational hygiene and hazardous materials services from AECOM’s Newcastle-based Environmental Health and Safety team. Perform field inspections, monitoring, and sampling across NSW and Australia, including hazardous building material assessments (asbestos and lead), indoor/outdoor air quality reviews, and asbestos clearance inspections. Build client relationships, support projects with WHS legislation and best-practice guidance, and produce high-quality technical reports, clearance certificates, and management plans.

Key Requirements

•Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Occupational Hygiene, WHS, or a related discipline.

•Strong technical report writing skills for clear, well-structured reports and proposals.
•Hold a current, valid driver’s licence.
•Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, Australian Standards, and Codes of Practice (broader APAC jurisdictional knowledge is an advantage).
