Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of experience building and operating production software, with a track record of setting technical direction and leading complex cross-team initiatives.
  • •Production relational database experience (e.g., Postgres or MySQL), including schema/index decisions and debugging transactions, locking, and concurrency.
  • •Strong backend engineering fundamentals to build reliable services that remain correct under concurrency and failure.
  • •A systematic performance approach using query plans, traces, profiles, and experiments to find bottlenecks end-to-end.
  • •Product judgment to translate customer problems into technical strategies and appropriate defaults/workflows.
