Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the implementation and operation of the internal audit assurance framework, including continuous monitoring and automated audit routines.
  • •Develop the annual audit plan, including the audit universe, risk assessment, and budgeting processes.
  • •Deliver internal audits per the audit plan to provide timely and relevant audit outcomes.
  • •Coordinate internal audits and make recommendations to improve governance, risk management, and internal controls while supervising team activities.
  • •Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and measure the effectiveness of improvements; build relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of relevant experience in assurance, risk, or control roles, ideally in financial services and fintech.
  • •4+ years of deep financial crime experience.
  • •Working knowledge of financial crime, risk management, governance, regulatory processes, and expected controls.
  • •Working knowledge of Australian regulatory frameworks relevant to payments/fintech, including APRA, AUSTRAC, and ASIC guidance.
  • •Oversee planning, staffing, delivery, and reporting of multiple audit engagements, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of complex areas.
