Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform access control operations, visitor processing and screening using X-ray and metal detection systems.
  • •Conduct vehicular and foot security patrols, manage traffic control and direction, and monitor/response to alarms.
  • •Maintain receipt, accountability, and safeguarding of keys; operate security and safety systems.
  • •Monitor compliance and provide conduct oversight, reporting safety issues, hazardous conditions, and incidents.
  • •Respond to injury/illness and emergency situations until emergency personnel arrive; complete reports, maintain records, and provide testimony when required.

Key Requirements

  • •Meet at least one qualification: 3 years security experience in past 5 years, or 3 years military/National Guard service, or an associate degree+ in security/law enforcement, or police academy basic training, or equivalent experience/education approved by the contract technical supervisor.
  • •Fluently speak, read, comprehend, and write in English.
  • •Pass background screening, psychological evaluation, and drug testing, and complete all required initial training.
  • •Meet TVA suitability criteria prior to assignment and maintain documentation demonstrating compliance with TVA Personnel Security requirements and USCIS eligibility-to-work regulations.
  • •Successfully complete an approved physical evaluation demonstrating endurance, physical conditioning, proficiency with firearms/security equipment, and ability to tolerate physical exertion and sudden emotional stress.
