Job Summary

Direct buyers and expediters to meet company objectives by evaluating vendor reliability, managing purchasing activities, and overseeing major subcontract cost, schedule, and performance. Lead policy and process development for procurement and material control systems, including P2P, PO management, requisitions and change orders, RFQs, and receipt/shortage and expedite handling. Use SAP MM, SAP ERP, and Excel to maintain procurement data integrity, support vendor analysis, and drive cost savings through negotiation and comparisons.

Key Responsibilities

•Direct buyers and expediters to accomplish company objectives and oversee vendor surveying to maintain relationships.
•Review and approve purchases up to a specified dollar amount and monitor major subcontract cost, schedule, and performance.
•Develop procurement policies and procedures, and implement material control systems to reduce costs and streamline processes.
•Manage end-to-end procurement execution: process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders, requests for quotes, and communicate with suppliers to ensure deliverables.
•Manage PO and receipt operations including MRP signal changes, order follow-up, delivery verification, payment approval, record maintenance, and expedite/shortage management.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree (preferably Engineering: Mech/ Electrical).
•10+ years of experience with at least 5 years in people management.
•Proficiency with SAP MM and Excel, including experience as an engineering buyer using SAP ERP.
•Global supply chain experience, including built to print and OEM commodities.
•Experience with P2P, project/volume purchasing for production, and procurement processes (PRs, purchase change orders, RFQs, PO management, and receipt/shortage management).
