Job Summary

Lead underwriting due diligence and support the approval process for new commercial loans in the Middle Market Commercial Banking division. Conduct financial analysis of borrowers and guarantors, prepare internal credit memos, present recommendations to the credit committee, and support loan closings. Own ongoing portfolio management, including renewals, reviews, covenant compliance, risk ratings, amendments/waivers, and stakeholder coordination, while mentoring junior deal team members.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead underwriting due diligence and produce deal screen/underwriting documents with relationship managers and junior deal team members.
•Analyze debt financings and company financials using Excel and Sageworks; perform sensitivity analysis and projected cash flow modeling.
•Draft underwriting memo narratives identifying risks, mitigating factors, and risk grade; present underwriting memos to the credit committee.
•Manage the existing lending portfolio by reviewing financial statements and compliance materials, monitoring covenant compliance, risk ratings, and credit quality.
•Ensure timely renewals, annual reviews, and interim analyses; execute amendments/waivers, maintain covenant ticklers/files, and coordinate across internal/external stakeholders while mentoring junior team members.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 140,000 - 175,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree, with courses in accounting and finance preferred.
•4-7 years of prior professional experience, ideally in Accounting/Finance/Banking-related roles.
•Excellent analytic skills and attention to detail.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to credit committee stakeholders.
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) with required financial modeling experience.
